Need help - heat and lost power

well
it is a long story but i make it short.

few weeks ago the car was involved within an accident, basically i got new radiator and i believe some new engine cooling parts.

after i got my car back i noticed the car aint run as fast as before. it was proof after running with my friend's type R neck to neck from 2nd to 4th gear.....

after hard driving, the shifter and console around the shifter gets real hot, initially i thought it was the heat shield that is missing but none of the heatshield is off.

so just wondering is it perhaps the bodyshop did not replace with colder thermostat that jackson racing recommended ..so causing all the heat and lose power?

Where is your temperature gauge at:

Idling
driving normally
driving fast

I doubt it's the thermostat that is causing the problem (my money says they never touched it).

Did they properly bleed the cooling system?
Is your heater core ok?

In summer the heat is alot more noticable around the shifter area... I wouldn't worry about it unless it seems like it's going to start a fire [img]smile.gif[/img]

i do not have temp guage...

perhaps i do need one ...
which one would u recommend...
perhaps i also need a boot gauge as well...


and i double check all the lines and nuts seems to be OK...

the fuel pressure gauge are always at 44psi ....
should be no problem with a/f ratio...

the car will be check by mecahnics next week to see whats going on...

check engine light is on....
idle at 1500 rpm.....

and the smoke out of exhaust doesnt smell right....

damn..

The code is CYP....

CYP(cylinder position sensor) and Crank position sensors are in the distributor.

After I reset the ECU the check engine light is gone....

gonnna call JR technical to seet what is going on....
